What is the Over 65 Tax Freeze?

Senior Citizens with an age of 65 or older and disabled homeowners have a tax freeze on their homesteads. They will receive no increase in taxes on their homestead property should the bond pass.

Voters 65 and Over: Under state law, if you applied for and received the Age 65 Freeze on your homestead, your school taxes CANNOT be raised unless you make significant improvements or additions to your home (the value of those improvements/additions would effectively raise your existing tax ceiling).

Exemptions: Estimates are calculated based on the taxable value of your home factoring in the $100,000 Homestead Exemption, which is subject to voter approval in November 2023.
